I grew up in South Louisiana, and parts of this crazy state could be considered part of the bible belt, BUT REGARDLESS, I grew up practicing Roman Catholicism. Therefore, Lent was always a huge deal to my family. One of the things that we always observed about lent was the whole 'no meat on Friday's rule'.
This year, instead of giving something up for lent, I'm going to try doing something. I'm going to spend more time at home with my family and really making time for people in my life. Sometimes I can be good at being a hermit and not really wanting to go anywhere or do anything with anyone. So, for the next 40 days I'll be making more of an effort. Starting tonight! I'll be going watch my roommates little brother run track for his college. We shall see how that goes!
Do you participate in Lent, or something like it? What's your favorite type of food to eat?

Hi Maria. I am a new follower and I was paired with you for the 20SB Postcard Exchange. I figured we should follow each other and learn a little more about each other before we start exchanging the postcards. I hope to hear from you soon!

I freaking love crawfish boils. Can't believe I'm about to miss another crawfish season here in Germany
